Frequently Asked Questions

Are only designers welcome to these events?
Everyone is welcome! We're all creative and express it in our own ways– if you're interested in the event, then the event is for you!

How can I help?
Design Week Tallahassee is a fully volunteer-run event, so we’re always looking for more volunteers! Apply here to be a volunteer. If you have any questions, contact the DWT Volunteer Coordinator carmen@designweektlh.com.

Will there be video or livestreams of the talks?
Yes, we'll be streaming all the talks on Facebook Live. Follow our page to stay updated when we go live.

Is Design Week Tallahassee for local Tallahassee residents only?
Design Week is for everyone! While it takes place in Tallahassee, it’s in no way limited to Tallahassee locals. If you’re interested in attending, check out our partner hotel for available rooms- we’d love to have you!

What types of design are included in design week?
DWT is currently focused on visual design, however many of our attendees specialize in one or more of the following: graphic design, UI/UX, web design, product design, app design, 3D design, VR/AR design, urban design, photography, information design, and more.

I’m a student, are these events for me?
Definitely! We highly encourage students to attend events as it’s a great opportunity to learn new things and connect with the local design community. We currently offer discounted workshop tickets for students, provided that they show student ID at the door. All of our other events are free and we’d love to see you there!

Are you a part of a larger organization?
Design Week Tallahassee is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. While we partner with many organizations in town, DWT is committed to staying independent and volunteer-run by the community in order to be a non-competitive, safe space for all local agencies, businesses, and individuals to celebrate creativity.

Are all your events free?
All events except for workshops are free to the public. Tickets to workshops can be purchased individually or through packages at a discounted price.

You can print your ticket or just open your ticket on your phone when you check in. We have an EventBrite app that makes mobile check-in easier.
